Bosch has released a portable gadget for cleaning clothes from unpleasant odors
Washing machines are good for everything but one thing: they use a lot of fresh water. And this at a time when many parts of the world are suffering from drought.
For the environment, Bosch created FreshUp, a device that allows you to freshen clothes, remove odors, without loading them into the washing machine unnecessarily.
To refresh your closet, just wipe it with the device on. The device treats the fabric with plasma, which destroys the molecules of odorous substances.
FreshUp tackles many odors, including cigarette smoke and fried food. It is ideal for travel or business trips and fits in your suitcase. That means active travelers don’t have to hang lightly worn clothes on the back of a chair to air out or drop them off at the laundry every night. With stubborn dirt and stains the device will not cope and will not replace a washing machine.
The device is 165 mm long and has an active emitter width of 50 mm. The battery is charged for about 4 hours and then the freshener can run for an hour. In addition, the gadget costs $342 – a lot for a device that has not revolutionized the way clothes are cared for.
