Boeing 737 lost part of the skin in flight

Boeing 737 airplane of United Airlines, flying on the route “San Francisco – Medford”, lost part of the skin in flight, but successfully landed at the destination.

There were 139 passengers and 6 crew members on board. There were no casualties.

The loss of the outer panel was noticed only after the landing of the aircraft. As the representative of the company told the channel, the air carrier will conduct a “thorough inspection and repair of the aircraft”, as well as “investigation to determine the causes of the incident.”
