Biden’s campaign raised a record $26 million at an event in New York City

The election campaign of incumbent US President Joe Biden raised a record $26 million in funding at an event in New York that also featured former heads of state Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.

“President Biden, along with Presidents Clinton and Obama, co-hosted the most successful fundraising event in the history of American politics at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The evening with President Biden and Presidents Obama and Clinton raised a historic amount of more than $26 million,” the report said. More than 5,000 people attended the event.

As reported in the headquarters of Biden, the amount of funds received on March 28 was more than the funding raised by the main competitor Donald Trump for the entire month of February. Thus, Biden’s campaign raised $155 million, while Trump’s raised less than $42 million.

During a fundraising event for Biden’s campaign, opponents of his policies held a rally outside Radio City Music Hall against the U.S. administration’s actions in the Middle East. Activists also repeatedly interrupted the performance by shouting slogans.
