Biden went on vacation

U.S. President Joe Biden went to Massachusetts for five days for a mini vacation, the White House announced. Biden has already arrived at the fashionable resort island of Nantucket.

According to Biden’s schedule, he has no public events scheduled until Sunday. Thursday is a national holiday, Thanksgiving, and many Americans take days off or days before and after Thanksgiving to visit relatives.

At a White House briefing, presidential press secretary Jen Psaki was asked how Biden plans to explain his vacation “among billionaires” when inflation has caused the traditional Thanksgiving table to rise significantly in price.

“Now is the time to put politics aside, spend time with loved ones and talk about what we’re thankful for…Wherever the president is, he will work,” Psaki assured.

“He has secure phone lines, his staff is going with him. And I think Americans can be assured that he will continue to work to bring down the price they pay for goods,” Psaki added.
