Biden to announce new restrictions on firearms in the U.S.
President Joe Biden will announce new measures Monday to reduce homemade unregistered gun violence across the country.
This includes a ban on the manufacture of these types of weapons. The new rules are expected to be announced today at the White House.
In 2021, 20,726 people in the U.S. were killed in firearms incidents.
In April 2021, Biden called gun violence a real epidemic for the United States, which he intends to combat.
Actions by the president and his administration include combating the proliferation of homemade weapons, components for which can be purchased online, a ban on the purchase and sale of assault weapons, and high-capacity magazines.
