Biden said it is necessary to postpone the debate if trump is still ill

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said that he and incumbent President Donald Trump should not participate in the debate on October 15, if trump still has a coronavirus infection by then.

Biden has previously said that he is ready to debate with trump if doctors say it is safe.

“I think if he still has COVID, then we shouldn’t have a debate,” Biden told reporters from his pool.

Earlier, trump confirmed that he intends to take part in the second televised debate with Biden on October 15.

The US President went to the hospital with the coronavirus on Friday and was discharged on Monday, returning to the White house.
