Scientists warned of evolution of delta strain of coronavirus

A variant of the Delta coronavirus may get new features, scientists said. This is due to permanent mutations.

“Delta is a line like Delta plus. There are many strains inside, and they keep evolving. Individual offshoots occur.

In their own way, any strain undergoes speciation, the more dangerous ones will not become widespread. However, “delta” and similar strains have a high evolutionary perspective.

There are about 221.6 million people sick worldwide, according to the latest WHO figures, and Johns Hopkins University estimates that the number has already surpassed 222 million.

4.5 million people have died from the coronavirus. The situation is most complicated in the United States, India and Brazil.
