This is reported by The Hill newspaper, citing data published by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

According to published information, the effectiveness of the vaccine can reach 85% in the treatment of the most severe cases of the disease.

According to the publication, the expert council of the FDA on Friday, February 26, will hold a meeting at which a decision will be made on the feasibility of approving this drug.

It is specified that in case of a positive decision, the vaccine from Johnson & Johnson can be approved for use in the United States as early as this week.

The American company Johnson & Johnson has submitted to the World Health Organization (WHO) an application for registration of the coronavirus vaccine of the Belgian pharmacological unit Janssen.
