US President Donald Trump nominated the Navy’s vice chief Bill Moran to the post of commander, according to a statement released on Thursday by the Navy.
In this position, he will replace Admiral John Richardson, who plans to retire in the summer.
Moran has been serving as deputy commander since 2016. Before that, he led the command of the Navy.
