Nikki Haley will suspend her participation in the Republican primaries
Nikki Haley plans to suspend her participation in the Republican primaries. Haley is expected to make a statement in Charleston, South Carolina. In her speech, she will call on Donald Trump to enlist the support of Republicans and independent voters who elected her.
Haley will be able to take part in the election race again in the future, but this time sharp criticism of Trump, who continues to “hold power” in the Republican Party, played against her.
On March 5, Super Tuesday, the US held primaries in 15 states. Trump and Haley competed for the votes of delegates who will in turn cast their ballot for one or the other candidate at the party’s general convention July 15-18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Trump lost to Haley only in the state of Vermont, winning in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Virginia, California, Colorado, Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Maine, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.
