Tupac Shakur’s ring sold at auction for $1 million.
A gold ring in the form of a crown with rubies and diamonds, which belonged to Tupac Shakur, sold for more than $1 million at Sotheby’s auction in London.
The starting price of the lot was $ 300 thousand. The ring was made in 1996 by order of the rapper. On its inner side engraved inscription “Pac & Dada 1996” in connection with the engagement of the performer with Kidada Jones.
Tupac Amaru Shakur (1971-1996), who performed under the pseudonym 2Pac, influenced rap artists including Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent and The Game. In 2015, more than 80 million copies of his songs were sold worldwide. Shakur’s fourth studio album, “All Eyez on Me,” as well as a compilation of hits are among the top-selling compilation albums in the United States. Music magazine Rolling Stone ranked him at number 86 on its list of greatest hip-hop artists.
In September 1996, Tupac Shakur died in an intensive care unit in Las Vegas, where he was taken with gunshot wounds.
