Biden to visit more than 20 states as part of plan to stimulate investment in the U.S.

U.S. President Joe Biden and representatives of his administration will visit more than 20 states in the next three weeks to see the effectiveness of the program to stimulate domestic investment.

The trip will discuss how President Biden’s Investing in America program, which includes historic investments raised through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), the Chip Act and science, has impacted manufacturing growth, is helping rebuild America’s infrastructure and supply chains.

The U.S. leader’s tour will begin in Durham, North Carolina, on March 28. The U.S. president will be accompanied by First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and her spouse and a number of officials.

The following week, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo will visit fiber-optic cable manufacturing facilities in North Carolina, Transportation Secretary Pete Boutejage will tour state airports in Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma, and Interior Secretary Deb Holann will inspect oil infrastructure facilities near Houston, Texas.
