Apple Has Sourced Over 20 Million Protective Masks & Face Shields

American company Apple has sourced over 20 million face masks and face shields to combat the spread of coronavirus, according to CEO Tim Cook.

“We’ve now sourced over 20M masks through our supply chain. Our design, engineering, operations and packaging teams are also working with suppliers to design, produce and ship face shields for medical workers,” Cook wrote in Twitter.

The chief executive officer of Apple noted that the company expects to deliver more than a million masks and face shields weekly, starting this week. Delivery is already carried out in the United States, and the company expects to expand its geography outside the country in the near future.
