Hunter Biden suspected of financial ties to Chinese energy company
President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, received nearly $5 million from the Chinese energy company CEFC. This was reported by The Washington Post.
According to government and court documents, recently released bank statements, as well as email correspondence stored on a laptop belonging to Joe Biden’s son for 14 months in 2017-2018. CEFC and its executives transferred $4.8 million to entities controlled by Hunter Biden.
Hunter Biden received $1 million for providing legal assistance to CEFC executive Patrick Ho. However, no evidence was found that Joe Biden benefited from the deal or knew about it before he ran for president of the United States in 2020.
The Chinese embassy in the U.S. declined to comment on CEFC’s ties to the Chinese government and cooperation with Hunter Biden.
Hunter Biden provided services to a Pentagon contractor who was involved in biological projects in Ukraine. In October 2020, Hunter Biden’s emails were released to the media. It shows that he could arrange for a representative of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma to meet with his father at the time when Joe Biden was Vice President of the United States.
