Trump said he would not have allowed the current situation around Ukraine to develop
Former US President Donald Trump believes that he would not allow the current situation around Ukraine to develop. This was said in a statement released by his press service on Tuesday.
According to Trump, there was “no reason” for the current escalation of tensions around Ukraine.
“I know Russian President Vladimir Putin very well, and he would not do what he is doing now under the Trump administration.”
Trump stressed that the sanctions on Russia that Washington intends to impose “will be insignificant” compared to Moscow’s actions.
The former U.S. president once again expressed the view that the policies pursued by Joe Biden’s administration have led to “enrichment of Russia” because “oil prices have doubled and will soon triple or quadruple.” Under Biden, the U.S. lost the energy independence that the Trump administration had achieved.
