U.S. considers sanctions against Putin

The United States is considering imposing sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin. State Department spokesman Ned Price said this at a regular briefing Friday.

“All options are being considered,” he said when asked about the possibility of sanctions against Putin, adding that “everything means everything.”

CNN reported that the United States intends to impose sanctions on the Russian president on Feb. 25. The United Kingdom and the European Union have already announced the decision to impose sanctions against Putin because of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.
