Trump’s new trial will take place on August 14

Former U.S. President Donald Trump will stand trial on August 14, 2023 for mishandling classified documents.

Federal Judge Eileen Cannon, whom Trump confirmed in his final year as U.S. president, set the trial date for August 14.

On June 13, a court in Miami charged the former president with mishandling classified documents. Trump faces up to 400 years in prison and a hefty monetary fine.

However, despite the prosecution, he will be able to run for president in 2024. The former White House leader himself claims that he did not have time to return the classified documents due to a rush and a heavy workload.
