Trump Named the Biggest Domestic Threat to the U.S.

The U.S. is threatened not by Russia and China, but by politicians inside the country, former U.S. President Donald Trump said at a rally in Michigan.

“The biggest threat to us comes not from the outside, but from sick and radical politicians who, knowingly or unknowingly, want to destroy our country. That’s the biggest threat. More than Russia or China,” he said.

Trump urged the gathering to take back control of Congress in the 2022 midterm elections. Trump, who has not yet expressed a clear intent to run for president in the next election, gave an optimistic Republican Party forecast for 2024. “We will take back the White House,” he said.

In the Nov. 8, 2022 midterm elections, Americans will vote for candidates for all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, where the Democratic Party has only a slight edge, and elect 35 people to the Senate, where both parties now have 50 seats each. Control of Congress will make it much easier for President Joe Biden to implement his agenda, but the lack of it will make it harder for him to coordinate his initiatives, which are already difficult.
