Trump has narrowed the gap with Harris in terms of support from polled voters

Donald Trump has reduced the gap with Kamala Harris to 3 percentage points. This is evidenced by the data of the poll conducted on October 4-7 by Reuters in cooperation with the research service Ipsos.

Harris is ready to support 46% of respondents, while Trump – 43%. In the previous Reuters/Ipsos survey on September 20-23, the gap was 6 pp.

At the same time, 44% of respondents believe that Trump has a better approach to solving the problems of “rising cost of living”. In contrast, 38% of respondents believe Harris would do a better job with that.

However, in the overall context of the challenges facing the country, 55% of respondents believe Harris is “better able to deal with challenges with a sharper mind.” 46% said the same about Trump.

Researchers recall that Harris has been ahead of Trump in all 6 Reuters/Ipsos polls since she entered the race in late July.

The U.S. presidential election will be held on Nov. 5.
