“The Special Counsel did not find that the Trump Campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian Government in these efforts, despite multiple offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump Campaign,” Trump wrote on Twitter.
The day before, the Ministry of Justice said in a letter to Congress that the investigation did not reveal collusion or coordination of Trump and his team with Russia during the election campaign in 2016. The investigation also boils down to the conclusion that Trump’s command had nothing to do with hacking the computers of members of the Democratic Party. The special counsel, Robert S. Mueller, laid the responsibility for this on “hackers controlled by the Russian authorities.”
Trump commented this situation in the following way “it’s a shame the president had to go through this before I even got elected – this was an illegal takedown that failed and hopefully somebody is going to look at the other side… The most ridiculous thing I ever heard.”
