Trump calls neo-Marxism and globalism the main danger to Western civilization
Former U.S. President Donald Trump considers Marxism and globalism to be the main danger to Western civilization. He said this on Friday at the international Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Budapest, where he spoke online.
“The West has big problems. And the main one is neo-Marxists and globalists. We believe that religion and the family are the foundation of a free society. We believe that a nation without borders is not a nation. We believe in tradition and the rule of law . These are the ideas that will save Western civilization,” Trump said.
The former White House head also called Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban “an incredible leader.
Orban has long been sympathetic to Trump and openly supported him during the last U.S. election. Because of this, the Hungarian prime minister has had a strained relationship with the current U.S. administration led by Joe Biden. The Biden administration does not like the Hungarian leadership’s independent position on a number of international issues, including Ukraine, and Budapest accuses Washington of trying to interfere in internal affairs and supporting the political opposition.
Trump has announced that he will run for the highest office of state in November 2022. The U.S. presidential election is scheduled for November 2024.
