Travis Scott was released after being detained for fighting in Paris

Travis Scott, detained in Paris for attacking a hotel security guard, was released without charges. This was reported by Agence France-Presse (AFP).

The Paris prosecutor’s office said it was decided to release him and drop the case due to the “insufficiently serious nature of the crime”. He spent a total of 36 hours in detention.

Earlier, the newspaper Le Figaro with reference to the capital prosecutor’s office reported that the police came to a call at the Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris and detained the artist for attacking the guard. It is specified that the security representative tried to prevent a fight between Scott and his bodyguard. The rapper was in a state of alcoholic intoxication.

On June 20, Scott has already been detained in the city of Miami Beach (Florida) for being drunk in a public place.

It is known that this is not the first problems of the rapper with the law. In 2021, during Scott’s concert at the Astroworld festival, people began crowding toward the front of the stage, causing panic, with some attendees fainting. Ten people died in the crush, and more than 300 were later treated at a field hospital deployed near the music festival. In 2023, District Attorney Kim Ogg said Scott would not be charged over the incident.
