The White House will create an interagency group to combat anti-Semitism and Islamophobia
President Biden is creating an interagency body to coordinate efforts and counter anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and related various forms of discrimination.
White House press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre announced this in an official statement.
“As President Biden has made clear: Anti-Semitism has no place in America. All Americans must firmly reject anti-Semitism, including Holocaust denial,” the statement said. – The president has tasked an interagency group to first develop a national strategy to combat anti-Semitism.”
The interagency group will be led by staff from the Domestic Policy Council and the National Security Council. This will help better coordinate U.S. government efforts to combat anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and related forms of bias and discrimination.
The efforts of the interagency group and the entire community will focus on countering anti-Semitism and improving the inclusiveness of American society.
“We look forward to working with human rights activists, civil rights leaders, civil society and members of Congress from both parties to continue to combat the scourge of anti-Semitism,” the White House statement stressed.
