While U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is in Ukraine, the Joe Biden administration said Wednesday that it will give the country an additional $200 million in defensive military aid amid growing fears of a possible Russian invasion.
The aid was approved in late December as part of a U.S. effort to help Ukraine defend itself.
The announcement came amid a visit by Secretary Blinken to Kiev. Until Wednesday, however, the administration declined to comment on the matter.
