According to the portal News 18, Obama’s Production Company Higher Ground Productions announced the series about the initial period of work of Trump’s Administration.
The series will be a film adaptation of the book by the American writer and journalist Michael Lewis “The Fifth Risk”, which tells about the transition period between the Obama administration and the Trump presidency, as well as political appointments under the new leader of the country. The book is a collection of essays based on interviews that were taken from officials in the Ministries of Energy, Trade and Agriculture.
“We created Higher Ground to harness the power of storytelling. That’s why we couldn’t be more excited about these projects. Touching on issues of race and class, democracy and civil rights, and much more, we believe each of these productions won’t just entertain, but will educate, connect, and inspire us all,” Obama said.
The company will produce various projects for a wide audience, including feature films and documentaries. Among them are a biopic about the American writer Frederick Douglass, a series about fashion in New York after the Second World War and a documentary film about people with disabilities.
Earlier it was reported about the agreement between Netflix and Obama & Michelle to produce films of various formats.
