The famous DeLorean "returns to the future" - but already in the form of an electric car
Today not many people remember the American automobile company DeLorean Motor. Founded in the far 1975 by John DeLorean, it existed only seven years and produced one single model – DeLorean DMC-12 sports car. The car became world famous for its participation in the movie trilogy “Back to the Future”.
Only separate copies of DMC-12, for which fans of automobile rarities are ready to lay out 90 000 dollars, have “survived” till present time.
“The Second Coming”. DeLorean Motor, or at least, the company that bears this name now is marked by the creation of an updated, already electric version of this car. In short, we see the familiar silhouette with gull-wing doors and comments that the “descendant” of the DMC-12 will be an electric car, and “no stranger” to refined automotive luxury.
Little is known about the novelty, so it is not yet clear to what extent the modern version of the DeLorean EVolved will match its “predecessor”. It is due to debut this year.
