Stevenson won the Olympic gold in the 125 kg weight category

American Gable Dan Stevenson won the gold medal in the 125 kg freestyle wrestling competition at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

The American defeated Geno Petriashvili of Georgia 10-8 in the final bout.

Amir Hossein Zare of Iran and Taha Akgul of Turkey won bronze.
