Scientists have completed the development of a universal sorbent for blood purification
Scientists have created a promising hemosorbent that stands out for its versatility in use, safety for humans, and high absorption capacity, which is 2-4 times higher than that of natural analogs.
Research conducted on the new synthetic montmorillonite showed that it is able to absorb a high amount of toxins without damaging blood cells and is absolutely harmless to the human body.
Also specialists of the center reported that this sorbent has the whole set of properties originally specified – it is a certain chemical, as well as phase composition of the material, its texture parameters, the size of the constituent particles and morphology.
Moreover, the use of synthetic montmorillonites is not limited to blood purification – for example, they can be used to create burn or wound patches with high efficiency.
