Saudi Aramco to become sole oil supplier to largest US refinery

Saudi Oil Company Saudi Aramco announced the establishment of a trading company in the U.S. – Aramco Trading Americas, which will be the only supplier and buyer of oil for the largest refinery in the U.S..

Aramco Trading Company acquired 100 percent of Motiva Trading and established Aramco Trading Americas (ATA) in Houston instead.

Under the terms of the agreement, ATA will be the sole supplier and buyer for Motiva Enterprises, which owns the largest refinery in North America with a production capacity of 630,000 barrels per day.

Saudi Aramco acquired Motiva Enterprise in 2017 in a deal with Anglo-Dutch oil and gas concern Shell.
