Ron Desantis was in a car accident

Florida Governor Ron Desantis, who is seeking the nomination as the Republican Party’s candidate for the U.S. presidential election in 2024, was involved in a car accident.

The governor was involved in a car accident this morning while traveling to an event in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Neither he nor his entourage were injured.

Desantis announced his candidacy for the state’s highest office on May 24.
