Porsche Design has unveiled a premium soundbar with the exhaust from a Porsche 992 GT3

In order to attract the attention of potential buyers, manufacturers sometimes resort to very unusual design refinements. Thus, the studio Porsche Design is now taking orders for the production of soundbar in the style of 911 – Soundbar 2.0 Pro-Ltd, which will be released as a limited edition of 500 copies at a price of $ 12,000.

Surely most owners of “budget” speakers will be surprised to learn that the main feature of such an expensive novelty – attached to it … the exhaust pipe of the prestigious Porsche 992 GT3. We must admit, from the aesthetic point of view such “find” looks very ambiguous. It seems that designers at some point decided that the processes of formation of sound and exhaust gases have too much in common.

The dimensions of the device are 1500 x 460 x 500 mm and weighs 65 grams. The company said that the device can be hung on the wall or mounted on a stand. The 911 Soundbar 2.0 Pro-Ltd. – 300 watts.

The system has 4K compatible ports, HDMI and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connectivity, and will be available in silver and black. It is compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD, as well as Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast for streaming.

Porsche Design is already taking orders. The panel will go on sale in early 2023.
