Porsche 911 supercars got an unexpected accessory - a folding roof awning
Porsche has introduced an extremely unexpected accessory for owners of its supercars – a mobile camping tent on the roof. Now they can calmly drive off the asphalt highway and head off-road to a cozy meadow or the shore of a mountain lake to spend the night there. You only need to spend $5,000 for a tent, and you can forget about sleeping in hotels and hotels forever.
The awning attaches to the roof rack on the Porsche 911, the car is its base, and a retractable ladder with ground support helps stabilize the structure. Inside, there is a space of 210 x 130 cm, the structure can hold up to 190 kg of weight, so with the proper skill there can fit two people. The walls of the tent have windows to admire the view, but if you want you can close them and hide from prying eyes.
It is reported that the tent is all-weather, equipped with rain protection, and a high-density mattress is already provided inside. If the owner of the supercar does not know how to put up a tent – it is not a problem, as the design unfolds automatically using a pneumatic mechanism. A small disadvantage is that with such a load on the roof of the Porsche 911 can not accelerate faster than 130 km/h, but the company promises to compensate this blanket with heating and organizer for shoes, which are now in development.
