Plastic duck simulator became an unexpected game hit

The new video game “Placid Plastic Duck Simulator” puzzled and conquered gamer community, it collected 98% of positive marks. Note that there is no gameplay in the game, there is no plot, no tasks, no puzzles or competition with opponents. It’s even hard to call it a game, but the plastic duck simulator draws the players in very quickly.

The point of the game can be described as “duck watching”, it was created by the development team partly as a joke, partly as a test of your skills. There are fairly realistic physics and a great random events generator, although they don’t happen very often. There’s a pool where new ducks periodically fall in, and we watch what happens to them afterwards. Usually nothing – but it’s all the more interesting when something unexpected happens.

Each new duck is different from the others: looks, accessories, little abilities. They get into different situations and there’s nothing we can do about it, only comment. As one critic noted, the game is perfect for streamers because they can focus entirely on communicating with their audience and discussing the game without being distracted by the gameplay itself.
