Oppo adapter will fully charge your smartphone in 9 minutes
For several years now, there has been a real race between charger manufacturers in terms of gadget charging speed, and it seems that Oppo’s 240 W Supervook adapter, which charges a smartphone fully in 9 minutes and 50% in 3.5 minutes, has emerged as the leader in this race. That is, by 1% every five seconds.
So far it is only a prototype and no one knows what consequences await the smartphone after a few dozen cycles of such high-speed charging. However, for this case Oppo prudently developed a charging circuit for 150W, which is already available on phones VBK Oppo, OnePlus.
The 150W Supervook charges a 4500mA⋅h battery to half capacity in 5 minutes and fully in 15 minutes. According to the company, it is absolutely safe for the battery thanks to the Battery Health Engine (BHE) with a special control chip to monitor cell temperature.
Even after 1,600 charging cycles, a battery with BHE retains 80% of its original potential, thereby doubling its service life. This means that a standard phone battery will last at least four years.
