OpenAI will launch a mobile version of ChatGPT for Android
OpenAI is undertaking a true expansion of the ChatGPT language model, making it available in May for iPhone, with millions of Android device users joining by the end of July. The app is already listed on Google Play.
It is still unclear when the mobile version of ChatGPT will cross the borders of the United States, but it seems that the OpenAI management is determined to promote it in every possible way. In particular, users of Android devices can already get access to the coveted application through a browser.
The versions for iOS and Android, despite a certain identity, have serious differences, as well as the OS itself. However, users will have the opportunity to synchronize correspondence with the chatbot on different devices.
iOS users, for example, have “secured” support for Siri, a cloud-based voice assistant, and shortcuts with which they can create ChatGPT invitations and save them as a link to send to friends. They can also ask Siri to launch the app.
To build on the groundwork already gained, OpenAI has begun testing a new feature for ChatGPT Plus subscribers that gives the AI chatbot permanent memory. That is, the chatbot remembers all previous interactions with the user during conversations, which, according to the developers, simplifies the work with requests.
