OpenAI launches ChatGPT for iOS

OpenAI announced the launch of ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot app for iOS devices.

“Today we are launching the ChatGPT app for iOS. Using the ChatGPT app is free and will sync your history across all devices,” the company said in a statement on its website.

The app will soon be available only for U.S. users, and then will appear in other countries. In addition, the company announced the launch of a similar product for owners of devices running on the Android platform.

ChatGPT by OpenAI was launched in late 2022. Service interacts with the user in conversational mode. The chatbot can answer additional questions, acknowledge its mistakes, challenge incorrect assumptions and reject inappropriate requests. The service’s capabilities have attracted intense public attention. The novelty was criticized after it was used by students in different countries to take exams and prepare academic papers.
