New message for contact with aliens prepared

An international team of scientists has prepared a new message designed to make contact with space civilizations and report the exact position of humanity in the Milky Way. This is reported by Scientific American.

The researchers offer to send their message or an array of telescopes Allen in northern California, or with a spherical radio telescope with five hundred meter aperture (FAST) in China. To do so, however, either telescope would need to be equipped with equipment designed to transmit the message.

If scientists get a chance to transmit their message, it has been calculated that it would be best done when the Earth is at a 90-degree angle between the Sun and its target at the center of the Milky Way. This would increase the likelihood that the message would not get lost in the background noise of the Sun.

This message used a special “alphabet” created by physicists Ivan Dutil and Stéphane Dumas as a protoinoplanet language resistant to transmission errors. It is designed to represent the decimal number system and the basics of mathematics.

Using the spin-flip transition of the hydrogen atom (the transition of the electron between the two superfine energy levels of the atom’s ground state), the researchers were able to reveal the structure of DNA, the common elements of the periodic system, the location of the Earth, and other information.
