More than a third of Americans are in a bad air quality zone because of fires

Over a third of the U.S. population is in a zone of deteriorating air quality due to wildfires in Canada. We are talking about the residents of more than 10 states.

Significant deterioration of air quality was recorded in areas near the cities of Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit and Indianapolis. As noted in the publication, there live more than 120 million people, they are advised not to leave their homes.

According to the Canadian Interagency Centre on Wildfires, there are about 420 active fires in the country, about half of which firefighters have not yet been able to get under control. Most of the fires were in Alberta, British Columbia, Quebec and Ontario. The total area of territories affected by the disaster has exceeded 6 million hectares since the beginning of the year.
