Kansas resident opened fire on police officers from her car

A woman in Kansas wounded three police officers after opening fire from the window of her car. Law enforcers specified that the incident occurred the day before at 12:50 local time.

According to preliminary information, three deputies discovered a suspicious car driven by a woman on the highway. The officers approached the car and asked the woman to get out, but she refused. When the officers tried to open the door and search the car, the woman pulled out a gun and opened fire on them.

All three deputies were wounded in the exchange of fire. The woman was eliminated on the scene.

The victims were hospitalized; doctors assess the condition of two of them as satisfactory. Another policeman was more seriously wounded, but doctors believe he will also recover.
