Hunter Biden has a new criminal case against him

The U.S. Department of Justice has opened a new criminal case against Hunter Biden, son of U.S. President Joe Biden.

The essence of the charges is not disclosed. It is noted that special prosecutor David Weiss in recent weeks has been collecting evidence and evidence of possible violations of tax laws by Hunter Biden.

“The defendant is involved in a four-year scheme to fail to pay at least $1.4 million in federal taxes owed between the 2016 and 2019 tax years,” the document reads.

The US president’s son is also accused of filing false tax returns. He could face up to 17 years in prison.

Special prosecutor David Wyss alleges that Hunter Biden spent millions of dollars “on an extravagant lifestyle instead of paying taxes.”

The defendant spent about $1 million in 2016, $1.4 million in 2017, $1.8 million in 2018, and $600,000 in 2019. From January through October 15, 2020, the defendant received more than $1.2 million in financial support, which he spent on a variety of personal expenses.

From 2016 to October 15, 2020, the defendant spent this money on drugs, escort services, his girlfriends, luxury hotels, rental properties, rare cars, clothing and other personal items, in other words, on everything but taxes.

Hunter Biden was earlier charged with three offenses related to gun ownership. He is accused of lying in the purchase of firearms, as well as providing untrue information to a licensed dealer. The third charge involves violating a law that prohibits drug addicts from owning firearms.
