Google launches paid Chrome Enterprise Premium browser with advanced features
Google is offering users a paid subscription to the new Chrome Enterprise Premium version of its browser. It is aimed at corporate customers who need security when browsing the Internet. And, as research has shown, companies need “foolproofing” to a greater extent, against unauthorized or inconsiderate actions of their own employees.
The new browser makes extensive use of AI technologies, for example, to analyze the danger of phishing and malware. At the same time, the app fights third-party AI in the form of neural networks – for example, it blocks the transmission of sensitive data when running on generative AI platforms. Most companies are strongly opposed to their data being exposed to neural networks, regardless of the purpose of its use. New Chrome cuts such traffic on the fly after activating the corresponding option.
Other useful features of Chrome Enterprise Premium include enterprise policy enforcement, update management, and software extensions. There is support for RDP, SCP, and SSH protocols, content and data protection, dynamic URL filtering, and site categorization. The browser contains useful management tools for a company’s IT and security departments.
Chrome Enterprise Premium boasts an analytics module that monitors browser usage by employees. It has context-aware access controls that help ensure zero-trust access to cloud-based applications. You can order an express audit of user activity and provide full transparency of your entire company’s online activity. The service costs $6 per month.
