Elon Musk deprived Twitter employees of the opportunity to work remotely

Elon Musk said in his first email to Twitter employees that remote work will no longer be allowed and that they must be in the office at least 40 hours a week.

This was reported Thursday by Bloomberg News.

Musk, who just two weeks ago completed a $44 billion deal to acquire the popular social media platform, fired half of its employees and several top executives and announced a number of measures, including charging $8 for a Twitter Blue subscription.

Musk also told employees that he would like subscriptions to make up half of Twitter’s revenue. This is according to a report citing his email.

When Twitter reopened offices in March, it was stated that employees could work from home if they wished.

Musk’s current move mirrors policies at his other companies, SpaceX and Tesla, where he has ordered employees to work at least 40 hours a week in the office or quit.
