Elon Musk called the number of undocumented migrants in the U.S. insane
Elon Musk considered insane the migration policy of the US authorities, which over the past three years has allowed more than 7 million illegal migrants to enter the country.
“Being an immigrant myself, I have a very positive attitude towards legal immigration, but to let millions of untested people into the territory of the United States is insanity,” he commented in X on the post of American journalist Ashley St. Clair, who reported that more than a thousand illegal migrants in New York City came out on Tuesday to protest at City Hall. The protesters are unhappy about being sent to temporary shelters and are demanding permanent housing instead, as well as work permits.
Musk noted that the number of undocumented migrants who have entered the U.S. over the past three years – 7.2 million – exceeds the population in 36 U.S. states.
In March, Musk expressed his opinion that the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden was doing nothing to prevent the crimes of illegal migrants in the country. Musk also argued that the United States will be finished if Washington does not change its migration policy.
