Detroit and Chicago topped the world ranking of cities with the dirtiest air
Detroit, Michigan, and Chicago, Illinois, have been ranked as the top two polluters in the world. This follows data from IQAir, a portal that publishes anti-air quality ratings.
As of 8 p.m. June 27, air pollution in Detroit is rated at 207, which corresponds to a “very unhealthy” situation. Experts consider 178 points in Chicago to be simply “unhealthy.” Urban air quality was affected by smog from wildfires in Canada.
In third place is the Canadian city of Toronto (122 points), its air is “unhealthy for sensitive groups. Beijing, capital of China (111 points) and Doha, capital of Qatar (102 points) are on the fourth and fifth places.
