China urged the U.S. to report on the epidemic situation

China is calling on the U.S. administration to provide the World Health Organization (WHO) with data on the epidemic situation in the country. Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said this at a briefing on Monday.

“The U.S. should provide data on the situation of COVID-19 spread in the country to the WHO and the international community in a timely and open manner, and take concrete and active measures to prevent further spread of the epidemic,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry official said.

He also called for avoiding the politicization of COVID-19 and relying on verified scientific data in combating the pandemic.
