China says it will create conditions for companies of all countries

The Chinese authorities will create favorable conditions for businesses from all countries, including the United States. Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao said this at a symposium in Shanghai with representatives of U.S. companies.

“There is a positive trend in the development of the Chinese economy and market potential is being released,” the head of the Ministry of Commerce quoted the website of China’s trade and economic authority as saying. – This allows us to create more favorable opportunities for the development of companies from all countries operating in China, including businesses from the United States.”

As Wang Wentao clarified, the Ministry of Commerce intends to make active efforts to protect the rights and interests of foreign investors in China.

“We will promote a first-class business environment by strengthening market and legal mechanisms, through internationalization,” he stressed. – Together with companies from all countries, we will take advantage of the favorable opportunities of China’s huge market, the advantages of China’s open development policy.”

The Chinese government intends to steadily pursue reforms and pay even greater attention to attracting foreign capital. He pointed to the close Sino-U.S. economic ties, stressing that they should be based on mutual respect and mutual benefit. Wang Wentao pointed out that this benefits not only Beijing and Washington, but also the whole world.

Representatives from Johnson & Johnson, 3M, Dow, Merck and Honeywell attended the symposium.
