China launched a new research satellite into orbit

China has launched a new remote sensing satellite into orbit. The launch took place Sunday from the Taiyuan launch site in the north of the country using a Changcheng-4 launch vehicle.

The Ziyuan-1 02E satellite is designed to monitor Earth’s natural resources and map its surface in high resolution.
