Biden to visit Lockheed Martin facility May 3

President Biden will travel to Alabama on May 3 to visit a Lockheed Martin military-industrial corporation facility. This was announced by the White House press office.

“The president will travel to Alabama to visit a Lockheed Martin facility that manufactures weapons systems such as the Javelin anti-tank system,” the press office said in a statement.

Earlier, company CFO Jay Malave said that any additional production for Ukraine would not have an immediate impact on financial performance. That said, Lockheed Martin is still coping with the supply chain difficulties that affected the manufacturing sector during the pandemic. Lockheed Martin produces the F-35 combat aircraft, which Germany is now planning to buy, as well as Black Hawk helicopters and a number of munitions and missile defense systems.
