Biden: the U.S. has an opportunity to change the world dynamic

President Joe Biden has declared his conviction that the United States is well positioned to change the world dynamic in the second quarter of the 21st century. The head of state said this while speaking at a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee reception in Los Angeles Thursday night.

Noting that he has spent more than 200 hours in direct contact with heads of state from NATO and the European Union, Biden emphasized his role in uniting world leaders in the face of the Russian threat.

“Putin has decided and counted on NATO being divided. This is no joke…. Look at what is happening now on the eastern flank of NATO. Look at what Poland is doing now. Poland is showing persistence,” Biden noted, also mentioning “recent” events in Hungary, Italy and Spain, without going into detail about what he means.

“You know, there’s a lot at stake. But I am absolutely convinced that we have an opportunity to bring the world to a place where it has never been,” Biden said, referring to a recent New York Times article that said “Biden announced the end of the Cold War period after World War II.”

The president stressed that the world order that emerged after 1945, when the Cold War began, no longer exists.

“It’s a different world. Right now we’re living in a completely different world,” Biden said. – Did any of you ever think that after the Cuban missile crisis there would be a Russian leader threatening to use tactical nuclear weapons…?”

According to Biden, while there are many things going on in the world today, “the United States also has a tremendous opportunity to change the dynamic in the second quarter of the 21st century.”

In his speech, the president also noted the “tremendous courage” of Ukrainians that has surprised the world and recalled that the United States has already provided the country resisting Russian invasion with more than $16 billion in arms, and about $15 billion more to support the work of the Ukrainian government.
