Biden signs $770 billion defense budget for 2022

U.S. President Joe Biden signed the country’s defense budget for fiscal year 2022 (started October 1), worth about $770 billion, according to a statement from the White House.

Earlier this month, both chambers of the U.S. Congress approved the draft defense budget. As noted in the statement, the president signed into law “appropriations for fiscal year 2022, primarily for Department of Defense and military construction programs, Department of Energy national security programs and intelligence programs.”
